Slideshow Community Guidelines

You may not use Slideshow to post content or engage in any conduct that is, in our evaluation, offensive, harmful, or inappropriate for general audiences, or that we believe constitutes or is likely to encourage or promote any harmful, violent, or illegal activity or outcome. Below, you will find more information about the types of activities, events, and content that are not permitted on or through our Services.

How to File a Report:

Within the Slideshow app, users can report both events and individual users. The process for submitting these reports is as follows:

  • Reporting an Event: To report event content that is in violation of our community guidelines, go to the event page and click on the ‘report’ option. You will be given options to narrow the focus of the report, including fake or illegal content, suspicious location or times, dangerous event, insufficient information given, offensive content, or events on your property that are not approved. If your complaint does not fall within these categories, there is an ‘other’ option, where you can detail the specifics of the report.

  • Reporting a User: To report user content that is in violation of our community guidelines, go to either the report section or the individual user profile, and select the ‘report’ option. You will be given options to narrow the focus of the report, including fake account, bad behavior, hacking, or user under 13 years of age. If your complaint does not fall within these categories, there is an ‘other’ option, where you can detail the specifics of the report.

How to Flag and Process for Review

Our goal is to promote a safe and respectful community. If you learn of any listing or content that may violate these Community Guidelines, please contact us using the report feature on the listing page. We will review each report, and depending on the nature of the report, we may or may not follow up with you.

Violations of our Community Guidelines

If we determine that the content violates our Community Guidelines, we may remove only the relevant content, we may take down the entire event listing, or take alternative action that Slideshow determines to be appropriate given the circumstances surrounding the content. If the abuse of our Services is serious and severe (in our sole evaluation), we may also suspend or terminate the associated  account.

If we believe there is a legitimate risk of physical harm to someone or a group of people, or direct threats to public safety, we not only take action within our platform, but will also work with law enforcement, as appropriate and at our discretion. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger as a result of content posted on Slideshow, please first contact your local law enforcement agency.
